BETA to the MAXX [Jan. 11th, 2007|10:33 am]

[Current Mood |all over the place]
[Current Music |...]

I was thinking the other day about how many Internet people I know having kids recently ... which led to babies as "beta" versions of humans ... which started me thinking about all those little "BETA" doodads on every single Web 2.0 logo.

I saw this originally as a baby shirt, but realized it applies to a LOT of older people I know (myself included) and should go on grown-up sized stuff too.

Thoughts?

If that ain't an appropriate t-shirt design for an unmarried, slovenly, Wii-less, computer-obsessed American male to release on his 30th birthday (not today) ... I don't know what is.

EDIT!!!

WE'VE GONE 2.0

YES, TWO POINT OH

IT'S SO INTERNET!~!!!

Yeah, I like the first one better, too. It's a little more unified in terms of design.

Also: I'd TOTALLY wear it.

My wife and I are expecting our first child on February 15 and I would buy this in a SECOND.

I've been scouring the internet for fun baby clothes that are more than onesies with puppy dogs, fire engines and slogans like "Daddy's l'il slugger" on them.

My wife's Aunt sent us an awesome hoodie that says "AB/CD" in the AC/DC font - lightning bolt and everything. I want more stuff like that!

Hey, if Homestarrunner can come out with a Trogdor onesie, why can DS do something similar?

You make a father-to-be-smile.

Hey, man - while I have your attention - I know you're busy setting the print media on fire, but is there any chance you'd be interested in doing a guest comic for Theater Hopper in February? I'm taking the month off to be with wife and baby and I need some extra hands to help me mind the store!

Interested? e-mail me at theaterhopper@hotmail.com and I can give you the details. You don't have to do a comic if you don't want. I have someone who is writing an essay for me to post in the blog portion of the site. That would go over great, too!

If not, I totally understand!

Purely on the design aspect, I like the first one better, however the "Beta" should be made bigger. Not necessarily to the same size as the main text, but somewhere in-between.
