Not much time before we check out of the hotel, but I need to tell you this, LiveGerbil: Comicon this year had some heavy magic.
Aside from it being a generally good year and full of happy people trying to escape the weird economy, we stumbled completely randomly on this:
Jonathan Frakes, Star Trek's Commander Riker in a gilded hotel bar spontaneously breaking into show tunes. Avery Brooks of DS9 did some smooth-ass piano wrangling, but I need to edit that footage. They were both incredibly pleasant fellows who commanded the entire room like it was nothing. At one point, it was so quiet you could hear breathing.
Don't ask how this happened, don't ask where it was. It simply was. |
